Like many others, we started innocently with just one Mini Aussie for companionship, and soon found ourselves deeply attached to this amazing breed.  We’ve never found such a wonderful combination of intelligence, loyalty,  personality, and beauty in any other breed.  In short, we’re hooked. 

We began in the center of the Columbia River Gorge on the Oregon & Washington border, where east meets west.  Lush green slopes on the west side of the Cascade Mountains become barren on the east, due to the phenomenon known as the “rain shadow”.  This was the place we called home, and hence our kennel name.  Recently we have relocated to the community of Damascus, a fertile green paradise just south of Portland, Oregon.  Here the dogs have acres to run on, and we’re all very happy.

We’re aiming to breed a better Mini/ Toy Aussie by merging the best of several proven bloodlines.  Come on in and have a look around, and let us know what you think.  Enjoy your visit!
